A question that we get asked often and if we don't get asked, then we can see it in the educators' eyes is "What do you want to see when you come in our classroom?", "What SHOULD our math block look like?". As educators ourselves, we've been there. We know what it is like to have curriculum people come in our classroom and feel like we are a fish in a fish bowl. First of all, you are not being judged. We are truly there to help you be a successful educator for your learners. Think of us as your own personal cheerleaders! Success for you equals success for us!
On our website, (which hopefully is now your favorite internet hangout or your homepage) we have posted several math block schedules that you could use. This is not to say that you HAVE to use any of these. If you are doing another constructivist learning model in your classroom, do it! We love seeing PBLs and UbD plans that involve math. These are just samples for your convenience.
Please let us know your questions, concerns, or comments. We would LOVE to help you and maybe in turn, you will help others
